SightCity 2026: Strong Interest in myBraille's Customizable Braille Displays

SightCity 2026 is now behind us, and we look back on three exciting, inspiring, and successful days in Frankfurt. As the world’s largest trade fair for blind and visually impaired people, SightCity once again provided the perfect platform for networking, innovation, and personal exchange.
This year marked a special milestone for us: for the first time, we presented our new generation of customizable Braille displays to the public.
We hoped there would be strong interest, but the response exceeded all our expectations. The countless conversations, enthusiastic feedback, and insightful questions we received throughout the event clearly demonstrated the growing demand for Braille technology that can be tailored to individual needs.
Rethinking Braille: Technology That Adapts to You
myBraille is about much more than a new Braille display.
At its core is a simple question: How personalized should assistive technology be in order to provide the best possible support in everyday life?
Every person has different needs, preferences, and ways of working. That is why myBraille follows a completely new approach: Braille technology that adapts to the user, not the other way around.
Whether speaking with users, professionals, educators, rehabilitation specialists, or distribution partners, one message became clear throughout every conversation in Frankfurt: the demand for customized solutions is greater than ever.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback confirmed that myBraille addresses a real need within the community.
The myBraille Configurator Launches This Summer
SightCity was only the beginning. This summer, expected in July, we will take the next major step: the innovative myBraille Configurator will go live.
For the first time, users will be able to build their own Braille display and explore the possibilities of myBraille for themselves.
From selecting the number of Braille modules to choosing additional features and functions, users will be able to create a solution that truly fits their individual lifestyle, work environment, and personal preferences.
